A total of fifty Class 90 locomotives were manufactured by BREL at Crewe Works between 1985 and 1990. these were numbered 90001- 050. the final production locomotive is seen here at Crewe heritage Centre No. 90005. Saturday 24th May
Freightliner inherited ten Class 90/1 locomotives, which were numbered 90141-150 and had been leased from Porterbrook, these have since been returned to their original Class 90/0 configuration. Freightliner also acquired 90016 from EWS, as a replacement for 90050 which was withdrawn in 2004 following fire damage while on lease to EWS. 90050 was stored subsequently at Crewe Basford Hall for use as a donor of spare parts to its other Class 90 locomotives.
In October 2023, it was loaned long-term to Crewe Heritage Centre where it has received cosmetic improvements.
Looking immaculate in what i think was one of the best livery that adorned the HST's, Crewe built Class 43 power car 43018 'The Red Cross' (253009) was new to St Philips Marsh Bristol 06/76, formerly with First Great Western and is now preserved at the excellent Crewe Heritage Centre.

Class 370 Advanced Passenger Train (Prototype). No. 370003 Built Derby Carriage & Wagon Works, 1979.
Built by British Rail in the 1970s and 1980s, this Class 370 Advanced Passenger Train (APT) is the only surviving APT-P set. The set was tilted for the first time in preservation in 2013. In early 2018, an additional surviving power car (M49006) arrived at the museum. It is displayed separately alongside the main set. Saturday 24th May

Born from ambition in the 1970s, the APT was Britain’s bold answer to speed, innovation, and modern travel.
Designed to tilting gracefully into curves, chasing horizons at 155 mph, and redefining what rail could be. Though its journey was brief, its legacy echoes through every high-speed train that followed.
Now silent, but never forgotten, 370003 stands not as a relic, but as a reminder:
